Our office offers custom mouth guards that fit well and protect effectively, without being expensive.
Mouth guards are essential for protection during contact sports, and they are mandated by organized ball programs from elementary school to college. A properly fitting mouth guard protects against fractured teeth, cuts to the cheek and lip, nose fractures, splintered jawbones and even brain concussions.
Over-the-counter mouth guards often feel cumbersome, and athletes may have trouble talking or even breathing comfortably while wearing them. This discomfort is distracting and may lead to lack of compliance and loss of protection. Stay safe – and focused on the game – with a custom-fit mouth guard!

Periodontal Treatment
Almost 80% of the population has some form of periodontal (gum) disease. Though it is initially painless, when left untreated, this bacteria-triggered disease can result in permanent tooth loss. We offer important treatment options to avoid that outcome.
- Scaling root planing is a special type of treatment that goes deeper below the gum line to remove contaminated debris, pus and bacteria.
- Anti-microbial treatment involves the placement of antibiotics around your gums to treat or help prevent gum disease, or antibiotic therapy in pill form for difficult-to-treat gum disease.
- Frequent cleanings/recare appointments can preventgum disease from returning.

Hospital Dentistry
If you are fearful of going to the dentist because of past experiences or just suffer from fear in general, there are alternative treatments available to you! We are able to provide many treatments while you are asleep. Dr. Dion is affiliated with CMC and Elliot Hospital and has performed hundreds of general dental procedures at these hospitals, where general anesthesia or sedation is performed by staff anesthesiologists. If you choose this option, you should be able to go home that day with all your treatment complete! Young children, as well as patients with special needs and those with high anxiety, may need the extra care available through hospital dentistry.
